I needed to replace the four speakers on my pontoon boat. Since the speakers that came with the boat were fairly expensive and lasted only about five years before the cones began to disintegrate, I wanted the best cheapest speakers I could find that might only last five years in the high South Carolina heat and moist environment. I chose the Pyle PLMRX67 speakers because of the materials they are made of, the audio specs, and the price. I have only had them installed for a couple weeks, but already I am well pleased because they sound better than the original speakers (when they were new)that cost about three times as much. I expect they will last at least as long as the originals. -- Great Speakers At Reasonable Price

I purchased these speakers to go in a 6inch audio pipe for my four wheeler. They are waterproof to the point that I can soak them with a water hose and they still play clearly, however I have yet to submerge them but it will happen shortly I'm sure. They have good sound, which for what I paid for them I am very pleased. -- Good Speakers

While I have not spent enough time with these for a full review, the speakers seem to be just what I needed. The specs are extremely favorable though I was concerned about them being "water resistant" instead of being "water proof". They are the size I expected. And for those that are wondering - yes they are a pair and not a single speaker. Looking at the manufacturer's website and other online research it was not evident if it was a single or not. I will update the review after they get some use later this year. -- Great Speakers
